Sacramento Republic FC’s U-14, U-16 and U-18 Academy teams will be holding open tryouts for their 2016-17 U.S. Soccer Development Academy season on May 5, 6 and 9. Tryouts are open to boys born from 1998-2002 and cost $100. The U-14 tryout session will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. and the U-16 and U-18 tryouts will run from 6-7:30 p.m.
Republic FC Academy tryouts will be held at Republic FC’s training grounds, Cosumnes River College, and will include a series of evaluations including fitness tests, skill drills, small-sided game and 11-v-11 scrimmages.
Those interested in trying out must preregister on www.sacrepublicfc.com and are expected to attend all three days of the tryout and will need to bring a signed waiver, water, a ball, cleats and sporting attire, including shin guards.
