HEAD COACH
Swope Park Rangers is led by Head Coach Marc Dos Santos. Last season, Dos Santos led the NASL’s Ottawa Fury FC to the 2015 NASL Fall Championship, before dropping the NASL Soccer Bowl to the New York Cosmos. Although they did not win the NASL Championship, Dos Santos was named the 2015 NASL Coach of the Year.
In 2009, before the club made the jump to MLS, Dos Santos also led Montreal Impact to the United Soccer Leagues First Division Championship and also secured a spot for the club in the 2008-09 CONCACAF Champions League.
Dos Santos holds dual Canadian and Portuguese citizenship, and is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Swope Park Rangers KC are one of 11 USL teams owned and operated by an MLS club and one of three that joined for the 2016 season. The Rangers are the USL club of Sporting Kansas City and take their name from a local park former reserves team previously used for their training facilities.
Sporting KC goalkeeper Jon Kempin, midfielder Jimmy Medranda and forward Daniel Salloi have all made appearances this season for Swope Park, with on-loan Kempin and Salloi featuring heavily for the Rangers.
KEY PLAYERS
Sporting KC Homegrown Player Daniel Salloi has seen significant time while on loan to Swope Park Rangers, appearing in seven matches this season. He leads the Swope Park Rangers offense with three goals and three assists. Salloi signed his Homegrown Player contract with Sporting KC on January 13, 2016, and is only the fourth Homegrown Player in club history. Before signing with Sporting KC, the 19-year-old forward was a part of Sporting KC’s Academy, scoring a team-high 21 goals in 28 matches during the 2014-15 season.
A key part of the Swope Park Rangers midfield is Tyler Pasher. The midfielder scored a brace against Tulsa Roughnecks FC to give the Rangers a 2-1 win on May 14, earning Team of the Week honors for his efforts. The two goals from that match are the only ones Pasher has so far this season, tied for his season total from last year while he was at Eastern Conference club Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
Defender Tommy Meyer is one of just two players to have started and played the full the 90 minutes in all eight Swope Park Rangers matches this season. Meyer brings a wealth of experience with him to the Rangers backline, having spent 2012 through 2016 with the LA Galaxy and LA Galaxy II before signing with Swope Park this year.
RECENT TRANSACTIONS
Earlier this month, Swope Park Rangers signed midfielder Ayrton Pinheiro Victor. The 22-year-old midfielder is an academy product of Brazilian side SC Corinthians. While at SC Corinthians, Victor went on loan with Portuguese side CF Uniao Madeira before returning to Brazil to play with Tigres do Brasil. Victor came up through the SC Corinthians Academy alongside current teammate Ualefi.
Swope Park also added defender Jaylin Lindsey to their roster this season as an Academy signing. Lindsey made his pro debut at 16 years old on May 7, 2016, against Saint Louis FC, just one day after signing his contract with Swope Park, becoming the first American soccer player born 2000 or later to make a professional appearance in a competitive match. The 16-year-old defender was called up to the U.S. Men’s U-17 National Team for the AIFF Youth Cup in Goa, India, playing in the 2-0 win over Malaysia on May 23 and helping the team reach the final against South Korea.

After impressing in preseason with a win and a tie over MLS clubs Colorado Rapids and Columbus Crew, respectively, Swope Park Rangers started their inaugural season with three matches unbeaten, defeating Timbers 2 and Tulsa Roughnecks FC and tying with San Antonio FC.
Swope Park Rangers suffered their first USL defeat in club history on April 23 in a 1-0 loss at Oklahoma City Energy FC. The club then went on two rack up two more losses before snatching their second win over Roughnecks FC. Last Saturday, Swope Park traveled to Rio Grande Valley FC and dropped their fourth match of the season, conceding a 4-1 defeat.
