(On defensive errors)
“If you’re a central midfielder you track your runners, which Barrera didn’t do. If someone runs through the middle, you track them. And he didn’t do it and it cost us. So then we’re back to 1-1 and then we do a carbon copy of what we did in the Open Cup the other night. We gift them a goal. I’m not going to let them get away with it. I’m not going to brush it under the carpet and say it’ll be okay next week because we’ve gone from being a very, very capable team with and without the ball to a team now really that is taking risks at the back which we don’t need to do.”
(On the match)
“I’ll have to be pleased with the point. I wasn’t pleased with some of the calls. Especially at the end. I thought it was a penalty on Kiffe. He’s got the wrong side of the player, it’s a foul minimum. And sending off Trickett-Smith, he is not a dirty player. It was a real mixed bag for us tonight but I have to be pleased that we were able to show character and get a point in a game we should have one.”
(On second half substitutes)
“Jahn came on and he was a presence. That’s what I expect form Adam Jahn. Adam Jahn is an 18-yard-box player. He’s a holdup man and he tried to get on the end of everything, every ball that went in the box he tried to get on. Trickett-Smith, I asked him to make a difference and he did in both ways. He scored a nice goal for me and then he leaves the pitch. But he was competing.”

(On his assist)
“I picked my head up and no one was in the box for the first one and I acutally saw adam in the box. I couldn’t even see who got on the end of it but it kind of goes to them for making the run in the box. Big time.”
(On the second LA Galaxy II goal)
“Mistakes happen. Derek has been really good for us. He should have dunked the ball, he knows he should have dunked it and it won’t happen again. But I’m glad the team rallied around and got back at least one goal.”
