Sacramento Republic FC announced that their final regular season home match on Sept.17 against LA Galaxy II is sold out. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. at Bonney Field. The match is Farm-to-Fork Night presented by Raley’s and UC Davis Children’s Hospital.
No walk up sales will be available at the Bonney Field Box Office. Gates open at 6 p.m. A limited number of verified tickets are available through Ticketmaster.com resale. Fans not able to attend the match may also watch live on CW31 or online at www.sacrepublicfc.com/matchday.
Fans attending the match are encouraged to bring donations of healthy, non-perishable food items benefiting Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services. Donations may be dropped off in front of the Bonney Field West Gate or at Republic FC Headquarters and Team Store, located at 2421 17th Street. The Team Store is open from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on matchday.
The match will be Republic FC’s last regular season home match of the year, although the club has clinched a spot in the 2016 USL Playoffs. Republic FC currently sit in first place in the USL Western Conference, two points clear of Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC who are in second place with 46 points.
Republic FC can determine their own fate and hold on to their top of the Western Conference standing with a win on Saturday and a road win against Tulsa Roughnecks FC on Sept. 24. Additionally, Republic FC can also a clinch a home playoff match on Saturday, with a win or a draw over LA Galaxy II.
With the sellout, Republic FC will have a regular season attendance of 172,711 in 15 matches, breaking last season’s attendance of 158,516 over 14 matches. In all, Republic FC averaged 11,514 fans per match in 2016, selling out all but one USL match.
