Sacramento Republic FC will host a cookie decorating party in partnership with the Food Literacy Center on Saturday, Dec. 17 at Republic FC Headquarters and Team Store—which is located at 2421 17th Street in Sacramento—from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event is free and open to children ages 18 and under.
As part of the Food Literacy Center focus on inspiring children to eat their vegetables, Saturday’s cookie decorating party will feature healthier cookie options and tree nut-free variations. There will also be “raw” cookie variations, made with ingredients such as pumpkin seeds, dates and oat bran.

The Food Literacy Center was one of the final recipients of a Glory Glory Sacramento Fund, receiving a grant to help provide free food literacy education to eight Title 1 schools in Sacramento, serving 800 pre-k–6th underserved children. The program aims to tackle childhood obesity at a young age by teaching kids about healthy food options and at-home cooking to improve healthy eating habits.
The event is part of the club’s 12 Days of Republic FC, a seasonal celebration featuring a new sweepstakes and Team Store offer each day as well as other special club events, including happy hours and a ice skating night at the Downtown Ice Rink.
The cookie party is open to kids 18 years old and under.
