Allison Yee-Garcia leads by example.
As the Vice President of Marketing, Communications and seemingly everything under the creative umbrella at Sacramento Republic FC – Allison has been heavily involved in building the brand that is the Indomitable Club for the last three years.
Whether it was the launch of the #WatchMe initiative, helping to bring to life the Block Party on Capitol Mall, telling the story of Sacramento by way of the concept behind the City Kit or leading her team through the uncertainties of the global pandemic – Allison’s vision always takes a community-first approach before she pours her heart into building something special.
She first joined SRFC in 2018 and her unrelenting passion for the sport, the community where she is also on the board of the Midtown Business Association, and the Indomitable City as a whole is the driving force behind what continues to motivate and inspire her.

“I had the chance to work for a handful of organizations that I can say were making a tangible impact in the community around me and having grown up here, I think what I reacted so positively to was the chance to be part of the change I saw coming in Sacramento,” Allison said. “It was really clear to me in my first five years being back here after college that Sacramento was on a path to becoming an entirely different city than the one that I knew when I grew up here. Not only did I want to be on that path, I wanted to help build it.”

Allison has done so much more than help build a successful brand, she’s laid the foundation for a positive and impactful future within the club and demonstrates her tireless work ethic on a daily basis.
Basically, any project the club is involved in, so is Allison – offering the guidance, expertise and selfless passion that is absorbed by the entire front office. Her energy is infectious, and it brings out the best in those around her.
She’s the epitome of what it takes to be successful and she’s always looking ahead towards the next initiative that her and her creative team can support, drive and do their best to consistently deliver exceptional results.
But Allison isn’t limiting herself to just supporting her own department. She’s extremely passionate about supporting young women who dream of one day being in a similar leadership role within the sports industry.
Of the many projects she’s piloted, her heavy involvement in the creation of Republic FC’s #WatchMe campaign was monumental. The campaign created a platform to elevate and motivate local women and girls to join, lead and benefit from sports. The Indomitable Club offered a series of Watch Me all-girls camps and clinics as well as educational She Can Coach courses for women interested in earning their coaching certificates.
The Watch Me campaign was intended to empower and encourage girls and women to not only pursue their passion for the game of soccer but pursue anything in life that they are passionate about.

“I think that as women and as girls, we have to work at not fighting against our own ambition,” Yee-Garcia explained. “Not only is it okay to be ambitious, but if you feel that fire, flame it! Don’t take a backseat because that’s what makes you feel the most comfortable – and nine times out of ten, it will feel uncomfortable, especially when you’re young."

"You have to push through that initial level of discomfort and pretty soon, it feels second hand. Ride that ambition if you have it. Don’t be afraid of it.”
A confident Allison is anything but afraid as she comfortably navigates new waters in the professional soccer world for Sacramento’s championship-winning organization where she continues to be a crucial player in the growth of the Indomitable Club’s brand. She’s cool, calm and composed as she carries herself with poise – and she knows exactly what it takes to be a successful leader in the sports industry.
More importantly, she wants to make absolutely certain that all women diligently working their way to get to the top get the equal recognition and respect they deserve.
“For women, there has been so much discussion about equal pay and equal treatment and while I think all of that is important and that those conversations need to continue to happen, what is equally important, is just some recognition. Recognition that we are different, but different is good,” Allison said.
“We’re equally ambitious and equally intelligent and equally willing to work hard and do all the things that an employer might be looking for, but I would like some recognition that we are not men. We are different kinds of employees and we need different things and we operate differently, and the outcome will be equally as good, if not better. But we are not the same, and I think that sometimes it’s easy to forget that.”

There’s no question that Yee-Garcia could be a successful leader inside any front office around the nation she would like – especially given the fact that she was a pivotal player in the Sacramento Kings’ front office where she was on the marketing front lines of building the Kings brand as they started their inaugural season in Golden 1 Center.

Because of the stellar work her and her team delivered, the downtown venue is now globally recognized as a top tier sports and entertainment facility.
But of all the front offices in sports around the country that she could put her personal stamp on and tirelessly work to building a positive brand, she’s fully aware of the special opportunity right here in Sacramento – one that she is so grateful to be heavily involved in crafting.
“There are not many places where you have an opportunity to be heard and make a difference the way that you do in Sacramento. “In Sacramento, leadership is so accessible, and if you’re motivated and want to be able to have an impact in conversations with the people that are the decision makers in this community, you can. And I think that's really special.”
She doesn’t shy away from being passionate about her hometown city, and she definitely doesn’t shy away from wanting to be on the ground floor for the greatness that’s ahead for the Indomitable Club.
Her professional actions speak far louder than any words ever could, so when Yee-Garcia leads, the entire front office follows. And the direction she is steering the Sacramento Republic FC brand is towards a tremendously bright and shining future.
