Republic FC Open Tryouts, presented by Western Health Advantage, provide aspiring players the chance to showcase their skills in front of Republic FC’s coaching and technical staff with the goal of earning a professional contract. Club staff will be present on both days to evaluate participants.
This year’s Open Tryouts will be held on Thursday, January 18, and Friday, January 19 at Bartholomew Sports Park in Elk Grove. The event is open to players aged 18 and older, and early registration is encouraged as over 100 players typically participate each year. At least one standout participant will be invited to join the club’s 2025 training camp ahead of the season.New for this year, players can take advantage of early bird pricing and save $50 if they register by December 31.

GENERAL TRYOUT INFORMATION
- Tryouts are open to eligible males, 18 years or older
- To sign up for open tryouts, participants must complete the registration form here before tryouts
- Registration fees apply and are non-refundable
- In addition to registration fees, each trialist is solely responsible for ALL accommodation bookings and costs
- Players must come prepared for the tryouts with their own boots, socks, shorts, gloves, shin guards or any other equipment related to their position
- Republic FC’s athletic training and medical services personnel will be onsite throughout tryouts

Tryouts are open to eligible males, 18 years or older.
You do not need to be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident to participate in Republic FC tryouts, but international trialists are fully responsible for complying with immigration laws and securing a non-immigrant visa. Republic FC may provide an invitation letter to support a visa application upon receiving a request from your embassy, along with your proof of registration and payment, personal details, and travel information. Send these materials to tryouts@sacrepublicfc.com. If your visa request is denied, your registration fee will be refunded.

No, food will not be provided but players are welcome and encouraged to bring their own drinks and/or snacks for the duration of tryouts. Republic FC will provide water.
No, spectators will not be allowed inside of the facility.
In addition to Republic FC coaching staff, the club will invite NPSL and lower division teams/coaches to the tryout. This increases visibility to the players and helps those coaches recruit.
Trialists will be notified either via email or phone within three (3) days if they will be invited to preseason with the team.
Should you impress our coaching staff enough to be offered a professional contract, upon execution and delivery of such contract, Republic FC would undertake to procure for you the necessary non-immigrant visa to play professionally in the United States for Republic FC. Depending on the terms of your contract, Republic FC also may elect to pay all or a portion of the costs associated with procuring such a visa.
